When a poker tourney gets raided, the players hope it is the police.

That has never been more clearly illustrated than at the EPT Germany.  Check this article by MSNBC:

Robbers made off with the prize pool of over a million dollars.  I’m sure my friends in the poker media are already far ahead of me and MSNBC already. 

When the raid happens, if the raiders are the police, the players usually face loss of the money in the game and a ticket.  If the raiders are robbers, people can be killed.  I’d take the police every time.
