Time to count blessings

It has been a rough couple of days, so it’s time to count blessings:

- My wife (always at the top of the list)
- My health
- Our dogs, Wrigley and Fenway, who love us no matter what.
- My family and my wife’s family. They are all so good to us that it really does seem like one family.
- Good jobs
- Our home
- Lack of financial worry. I’m not rich, but I’m doing OK.

Life can be a bitch sometimes and this week I’ve been beset by some people who don’t find the same things important in life (I just can’t be any kinder than that). In this case it has cost me a lot of money because I trusted them. That lesson is hard, but I don’t want to change. Selling that trust isn’t worth the money saved. I keep telling myself that, but being taken is still hard.

It is good to remember how blessed my life is. I wish the same or better for you dear reader.

Special K

God, family, health....then all the rest.... Sounds like you have your priorities in good shape. Human nature is a bitch. But as I always say...If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything! Hang in there and know there are people out there you can trust!!

Hey SK, I like your priority list. Life is tough enough. It's much tougher without your health.

We should all take time to give thanks, whatever our lists of thanks may be.

I admire that you're sticking to your values and striving not to let 'lesson' cost you much in terms of faith and conviction.

Keep on keeping on. You're at a much better place than said loser friend!

Somethimes one meets the wrong people in life and they may screw you up. But still it's important to keep faith in the good in humankind and then the other person can go f.... themselves, no matter how hard they want to make a mess for the rest of us. Trust me, they don't have a wife, at least not one who make a good thing in their life. At least they don't recerve one.

No, it's not a spam comment. But as I read about your challenges and blessings, I though maybe it would help to stop by this site: https://www.wayofthemaster.com/welcome.shtml

Hi SK,
I jus came across your Blog and it was funny to read your "Time to count blessings". I felt like this just yesterday and so i made my own count. It was lovely to read yours and that there are people who are still grateful for the small things in life and don't take everything for granted.
Keep up the good work and all the best,

Kata
